I went to the zoo today with my kids and the Giant Flemish Rabbit caught our eye so I took a few pictures. And then painted him. He was being a little shy and sleepy. We noticed that he has a big strange goiter like growth below his chin.

Framed and ready for auction fundraiser
I was asked if I’d like to donate a painting for the Boise High fundraiser and this is the one I chose. I had it framed and it’s ready to go.
Abstracted Rabbit 4X5″ oil on canvas It’s funny. Sometimes when I paint I will look at an image on my phone as a reference image and then paint on a canvas. But the dimensions of my phone are different than the canvas so things get shortened or elongated. I visually divide my phone image intoContinue reading “🐰”
I’ve been considering making a set of greeting cards of my winter critters. My thought is to sell them at local “Made in Idaho” shops and probably on Etsy. What do you think? Today’s 4×4″ painting. Just an FYI, nearly all of my little paintings are or will be for sale. Contact me if you want details. But of course I’m just happy to have you follow along.

With some favorites left out…. looking back gives me hope for future paintings. Each painting is a leap of faith and I never know how or ifContinue reading “Favorites”
Happy Bunny and NO School- Snow Day #7!
That’s right. No school again today because of ice. And, I just saw a snow plow so that means no school tomorrow. I’m wondering what happens in places like Canada or many other places where it snows and rains down ice every day. Are the kids tougher, have studded shoes, drive better cars? Better plows?Continue reading “Happy Bunny and NO School- Snow Day #7!”
There are a lot of elk wandering around in the foothills now. I think they are coming down from higher elevations looking for food. Although there is a ton of snow down here too. On a side note, we had 3 snow days in a row last week and now church has been cancelled. Continue reading “Elk”
