I finished and signed morning paper today. I glazed in a little color onto the floor, glazed the shirt which helped integrate the little floral print and brighten parts of the shirt, cleaned up the lines on the bookcase, and added a little color to the bright sunlight on her face. Oh, andContinue reading “Morning Paper-Finished!”

Flowery shirt!
I did it!
Morning paper-progress
More progress on the stuff in the living room. Next I’ll work on her skin/hand/face. I need to let all the white dry so I can bring up the light higher in value. And let the background dry so I can glaze it and push it back and bring in some color.
More light
More light through the wave and on the girls. Still a little more to do.
WIP Kids on the Beach
Now to turn the lights on. It’s getting there. Next I’ll go in and work on their skin tones and bring up the values.
Clamming in Maine
I’m so excited to have the professionally scanned image to share with you on my blog. I wanted to wait until the painting was given as a gift before posting it so I wouldn’t somehow spoil the surprise through social media or whatnot. I got the report back today that it was very well receivedContinue reading “Clamming in Maine”
Runner progress

Runners
I’ve made a little progress on my new Foothills Running painting. I’m trying to paint this one so it’s different from the last one. Morning Run
22X22″ oil on canvas I finished Morning Run today. All’s right in my world. I was lucky to get this shot last month while I was running with my group. The hills were green, the air was clear, the light was beautiful, the runners and dogs were all in frame. All the dogs but one,Continue reading “Morning Run”
Runners WIP
I painted in the rest of the figures, the dogs, and plugged in the landscape. The dogs are 2 beautiful golden retrievers that are brother and sister, and can you see the little vizsla zipping ahead off trail? That’s Penny, she stayed with us last weekend so we could “try out” a dog and weContinue reading “Runners WIP”
