Here’s Josie again. Again like for the 4th time. I’ve used her as a subject so many times because she is just so natural and easy going.
On this one I tried to keep the background simple but just right because there is so little to this composition.
It’s a beautiful, simple, clean little painting. 12×12″
This is so good!

I love the impressionistic background… it keeps it from looking too photo-realistic. The painting has a wonderful balance. Thumbs up!

Lovely work – you’ve got the reflected colors on her white shirt so perfectly

Thank you! It was a fun and scary one to paint. Scary because it’s simplicity.

I really, really like this one. One of my favourites so far. I love the way her foot is tucked under the sand among many other aspects.

Thank you Tracy! It’s a very peaceful painting, it reflects this girls personality. I was unsure of this painting at first because it’s so simple, I almost didn’t paint it after I put in the background. But once I painted in Josie it became one of my favorites too. I was surprised by it.

Absolutely beautiful – it holds contrasts together in perfect harmony. Simplicity and complexity, light and dark, intimacy and vastness.
